The Government of North Macedonia adopted several changes to the anti-COVID measures currently in force in the country, recommended by the Infectious Diseases Committee. Starting on Wednesday 30 March 2022, students in primary schools are no longer obliged to wear face masks while in classes and in the schools in general, while the obligation still remains in force for teachers and other school staff. Students in secondary schools and universities will still be obliged to wear face masks. The government also recommended universities and faculties all over the country that they may resume with lessons with physical presence of students, but the option of online lessons remains available too. The government also suspended the obligation for COVID vaccination or recovery certificates for outdoor sections of restaurants, cafés and other catering businesses.
