The Vice-PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani and the UNDP Resident Representative to Macedonia Narine Sahakyan signed Monday an agreement for cooperation in the project “European road of North Macedonia – Achieving faster, more inclusive and sustainable development”. The project is funded by the UNDP and will last for 7 months, with ultimate goal to improve the institutional capacities of Macedonia prior to its start of membership negotiations with the EU. “UNDP is a great partner of our country for quite a while now, and this project is merely a prolongation of the excellent cooperation we are having. The study that will come from this project will define the dynamics of our Euro-Atlantic integration processes through usage of experiences of other countries that have already joined the EU,” Osmani said. UNDP Representative Sahakyan said that the UNDP is dedicated to continuing the support for the EU-integrations by providing assistance to countries that intend to become EU members.
