Health Minister Filipce Presents Latest Data on Coronavirus Situation

Over the past 24 hours, 67 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, Health Minister Venko Filipce said at a press-conference on Tuesday at 3 pm. It was added that the same period had seen 25 new cured patients and one new death. 868 tests were taken in the 24-hour span. Those pieces of data didn’t include the figures from a private laboratory that hadn’t arrived before the press-conference. Later that day, the Ministry said that the actual number of new cases, tests, and new cured patients was 76, 885, and 26, respectively. There are currently 655 cases in the country. Most of the new cases, according to the Public Health Institute, are in Skopje. The Infectious Diseases Committee still hasn’t made a decision on new restriction measures. “It will monitor the figures in the coming period and propose in the coming days potential localised quarantines,” Filipce added. Among the new cases is Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu.
