Joveski and Opposition Divided over Results of Prosecutor’s Offices

Chief Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski is satisfied with the results in his area because the level of realisation of tasks, 63%, of higher public prosecutor’s offices and the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organised Crime and Corruption. Last year, offices acted in over 45,000 committed crimes. The opposition, however, says the numbers are not enough. VMRO-DPMNE MP Gordana Siljanovska Davkova points out that the heads always personified the system, pointing to the election of Islam Abazi as head of the Office for Prosecution of Organised Crime and Corruption, as well as to the example of former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva.
