On Monday, Justice Minister Bojan Maricic held a meeting with US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. They talked about the modalities for cooperation in the frames of the recently published Memorandum for setting up a fight against corruption of the US, North Macedonia’s Justice Ministry said in the press-release. Additionally, US President Joe Biden’s Executive Order was discussed. Maricic underlined the importance of the continued support from the US. He also used the meeting to present the activities realised so far in the frames of the Judicial Sector Reform Strategy, in addition to announcing the next steps in the fight against corruption that will start soon, including also the OSCE and EU project for monitoring cases of high corruption.
