Kamcev Released from Custody after Appellate Court Accepted His Warranty

The Appellate Court in Skopje decided to annul the custody measure against businessman Orce Kamcev who is one of the suspects in the Vodno Plots case. Kamcev was released from custody on Tuesday afternoon after the court accepted his warranty in value of around 11 million euros that he will not attempt to leave the country till the end of the trial. Few days ago, Kamcev was transported from his custody in the Sutka Prison to the Acibadem Sistina clinic due to deteriorated health and necessary medical interventions. Kamcev spent 10 months in custody at the Sutka Prison. In the Vodno Plots case, other suspects are also former PM Nikola Gruevski, Risto Novacevski, Kamcev’s mother Ratka and former Head of the Administration for Security and Counterintelligence Saso Mijalkov, who was also released from custody after offering warranty with similar value.
