Bulgarian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov said in an interview for BTV that Macedonia will wait a lot more for accession in the EU. “If Skopje continues behaving as mentor of Bulgaria and as a country that gets to determine the conditions for its accession in the EU, they will stay in the waiting room before the EU much longer than expected. It is Bulgaria’s right to demand candidates for EU membership to respect and implement the regulations and conditions required for this process. Official Skopje is stubborn, and has pretentions towards the Bulgarian history, even though their identity and language were created back in 1944,” Karakachanov said.
