Deputy PM Bojan Maricic, together with expert Vladimir Drobnjak, former Croatian negotiator, held on Tuesday two coordination meetings with ministers in charge of the clusters and Working Committee for Euro-integrations with the state secretaries of institutions, the Secretariat for European Affairs said in a press-release. Chief Negotiator and Deputy PM Maricic stated that Drobnjak’s experience and knowledge would be beneficial. The Croatian expert stated that though getting a date to start negotiations was a big political challenge, the true work and tasks start after the opening of the negotiations. Before ministries and state secretaries, Drobnjak, through a discussion, pointed to the challenges North Macedonia may face, considering Croatia’s experiences in that regard. “You must run this marathon responsibly,” he stressed, adding that Skopje could count on Zagreb’s support.
