Maricic: Mickoski Attempts to Score Political Points and Buy Himself Time

Deputy PM in charge of European Affairs Bojan Maricic accused VMRO-DPMNE
leader Hristijan Mickoski of manipulations for scoring political points. The reaction of
Maricic comes after Mickoski called for unification of Macedonian political parties in
order for DUI to end up in opposition at the following parliamentary election. “I see this
call as nothing mor but an attempt for scoring political points, and also for buying some
more time before crucial decisions. Time has come indeed, for Mickoski and all other
politicians in our country to take the chance we are offered for certain progress towards
achieving on of our greatest strategic goals, the integration in the EU. Unity will be
indeed achieved only if all political parties support the constitutional changes. We hope
that VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski will not make the same mistake like they did with the
Prespa Agreement and our integration in NATO,” Maricic said.
