Mexhiti: We will secure 80,000 votes for Pendarovski

The vice-president of DUI and Head of the Electoral Headquarters for support of presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski, Izet Mexhiti, said in a press conference that DUI will secure around 80,000 votes for Pendarovski in the 2^nd round of the 2019 presidential election. “The citizens of Albanian ethnicity usually do not vote for presidential candidates of Macedonian ethnicity in the 1^st round of the election. However, on 5 May we are to make a decision whether we want to proceed moving forward towards integration of NATO and EU, or remain an isolated country, and I can assure you that around 80,000 Albanians will most certainly support this concept. Boycotting of this election may result with a new political crisis in North Macedonia, so we call all the citizens to go to the polling stations on 5 May and cast their vote and support the concept for integration in NATO and EU,” Mexhiti said.
