Mickoski and SDSM Trade Accusations

According to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, though SDSM was trying to convince people it had solved all problems with neighbouring countries, that is not the truth. When it comes to the Bulgaria issue, there is almost no optimism about a dignified and proportional deal, he said on Thursday. Mickoski urged the Macedonian people to carefully follow developments because, in his view, things are not moving in a good direction, but, fortunately, the ruling majority doesn’t have a two-thirds majority in Parliament. In response, SDSM said Mickoski didn’t have a statesperson-like capacity, while VMRO-DPMNE had refused publicly the invitation to participate in the working groups with Bulgaria and chosen to sit on the side. On the other hand, Mickoski’s stand is that the formation of the working groups is done so that the negotiations are intentionally stalled in order for there not to be elections this year. “If were the PM and supposed to change the Constitution and identity of NATO and EU accession, I wouldn’t do so because I am not a trader and I love my country and people,” the opposition leader noted.
