Regarding the IRI poll results, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski says the dissatisfaction of citizens with the government was expected. That’s why, he reiterates that early elections are the only solution. “Everyone must understand that the longer this government is in power, the longer Macedonia will lose,” the opposition leader points out. According to him, the fact that 56% of citizens are partly or fully against inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constitution indicates that constitutional changes shouldn’t happen “under a Bulgarian dictate”. On the other hand, PM Dimitar Kovacevski says the majority in the poll in October was against “the hysteria crated by the opposition and the theses that the Macedonian identity will be lost”. The stand of the opposition in North Macedonia however remains, that is, it will not support a change of the Constitution.
