VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and the entire MP group of VMRO-DPMNE went to the presidential residence demanding a meeting with Pendarovski, after Pendarovski handed over to SDSM leader Zoran Zaev the mandate for formation of new government. Pendarovski accepted to meet a delegation consisted of Mickoski and MP Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. After the meeting, Mickoski informed that VMRO-DPMNE reached a decision to freeze their communication with the Office of President Pendarovski. “Like in many previous occasions, the institutions of the state are privatised, working only in favour of the interests of certain individuals or groups. The decision for handing the PM mandate to Zaev is only an attempt of Pendarovski to by him more time to establish a parliamentary majority. President Pendarovski violated the Constitution, because he handed over the PM mandate to SDSM leader Zaev even though he did not provide proof that he has secured a 61-MP majority in the Parliament for formation of a new government. We want to know based on what criteria Pendarovski decided to hand over the mandate to Zaev? With this behaviour, Pendarovski only showed that he is not a president of all citizens, but a mere pawn controlled by SDSM,” Mickoski said.
