VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said in an interview for Sitel TV that the current government fails to deal properly with the COVID-19 pandemic. “I am very disappointed and angry with the government and their very weak response to the pandemic. Every day we read on social networks about case in which patients in very bad condition are not provided with proper medical care and attention. As opposition, we offered all our capacities and ideas for effective dealing with the pandemic, but the government keeps on ignoring us, and is implementing populistic measures only to boost their ratings and present themselves falsely as heroes. This is why we need election of a new government for national salvation of the state and the citizens,” Mickoski said. In relation to the Bulgarian blockade for the integration of Macedonia in the EU, Mickoski said that this issue requires an approach based on consensus reached between all political parties in the country. “We need a clearer approach towards Bulgaria, in order to overcome the blockade and finally have that long-desired inter-governmental session with the EU in December,” Mickoski added.
