VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said during the celebration of the party’s 33 rd
birthday that their party will not support constitutional changes under, as he states, Bulgarian
dictatorship. “Over the past two weeks, we have witnessed a campaign full of disinformation
and lies that I and VMRO-DPMNE have allegedly decided to support the constitutional
changes. With that smear campaign, the government of DUI and SDSM only revealed that
they do not have the necessary majority in the Parliament to push the constitutional changes.
I shall say it once again, VMRO-DPMNE and our MPs will never support constitutional
changes created and forced under Bulgarian instruction and dictatorship. We have made our
red lines clear, and now it is up to them to accept one of the two proposals I gave them. This
is not 2018 so they can buy themselves votes from oppositional MPs. We shall never back
down from defending our Macedonian identity, our culture, our language,” Mickoski said.
