Minister Misajlovski Meets Ambassadors of France, Germany, and Turkiye

On Wednesday, Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski met French Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner. They discussed the two countries’ alliance within NATO, common contribution to the region’s overall political and security stability, and securing the defence budget in accordance with NATO conclusions. “We remain committed to deepening allied defence cooperation with France, which is an ally and long-time partner of ours, primarily in the field of strategic consultations in defence,” the Minister said.

The excellent bilateral cooperation, military education, and language training will continue, the French Ambassador pointed out. The same day, at a meeting with German Ambassador Petra Drexler, Minister Misajlovski expressed gratitude for the excellent defence cooperation, especially during the NATO integration process. He said the 2% of the GDP for defence remained according to the conclusions.

Regarding Ukraine, he stated that the government would continue to support and help the country. Wednesday also saw the Minister meet Turkiye’s Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy. Bilateral defence cooperation is at a high level, it was assessed at the meeting. Participants also said it would continue at the same pace.
