The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has notified the Greek Embassy to Macedonia that the Parliament adopted the Prespa Agreement. “Today, at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, the Head of the Liaison Office of the Hellenic Republic in the Republic of Macedonia has been presented with a Note Verbale, by which, in pursuance with Article 20(3) of the Final Agreement for the Settlement of the Differences as Described in the United Nations Security Council Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993), the Termination of the Interim Accord of 1995, and the Establishment of a Strategic Partnership between the Parties (Final Agreement), the Greek side is informed that the Republic of Macedonia has fulfilled the internal legal conditions required for the entry into force of the Final Agreement and that on 11 January 2019, the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia adopted the Decision for the Promulgation of Amendments XXXIII, XXXV, XXXVI to the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia and the Decision for the Promulgation of the Constitutional Law for the Implementation of Amendments XXXIII to XXXVI to the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia,” the Macedonian MoFA reports.
