For the names of the Bulgarian clubs in North Macedonia, the 3-month deadline for changing the names expires on Thursday. Associations are not allowed to use names of controversial historical figures. The Tsar Boris III club in Ohrid has already filed a name change request, whereas the Vancho Mihailov club will seek justice before international courts. Last summer, the Public Prosecutor’s Office formed a case over the registration of the Tsar Boris III’s club. Prior to that, upon a criminal charge from a political party, it had done so about the Vancho Mihailov club. It is unknown what stage the procedure is at.
