New Restrictive Measures not Recommended by Infectious Diseases Commission

Despite the latest developments related to the Delta variant of COVID-19 in the neighbourhood, the Infectious Diseases hasn’t recommended new restrictive measures. The authorities believe the situation is currently under control. However, they will carefully monitor it. Health Minister Venko Filipce, too, is adamant that there are no signs that the situation can deteriorate. On Monday, he once again called for mass vaccination. Some epidemiologists, however, consider that a negative PCR test should be among the conditions to enter the country, especially towards the end of the summer, when people will start to return from vacation.
