Nikoloski: Spasovski has Zero Credibility about Blacklist-Related Ideas

Asked about Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski’s statement regarding a legal framework for companies designated by the US Department of the Treasury not to be able to participate in public procurement, VMRO-DPMNE Vice-President Aleksandar Nikoloski said on Saturday he agreed with that.

“I think that’s something that should be given serious thought. In the first part, I think it’s a good idea, but it should also be given taught to the issue of what the credibility is of those presenting those ideas,” he stated, adding that Spasovski had zero credibility. According to Nikoloski, currently, perhaps the only major public procurement process in North Macedonia from backlisted companies and persons was carried out exactly by Spasovski’s Ministry.

As the VMRO-DPMNE MP explained in that regard, Spasovski’s institution had big procurement of IT equipment from Infinity, a company linked to Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik’s family, which is on the blacklist and still is part of it, and which were linked when the public procurement process was carried out. “So, the ideas are good, but one needs to have the credibility to present them,” Nikoloski stressed.
