No Consensus over Education Laws

There’s no political consensus between the ruling coalition and the opposition over the laws in the field of education concerning the education process during the pandemic. Though everyone voted on Thursday in favour of the need for changes, the opposition has numerous remarks and announced amendments. The Government’s proposal is that it should be given room to determine, with a regulation, the school year’s start and end, organise a combined education process, and make other decisions in that area. The school year might be three months shorter. Education Minister Mila Carovska said the it would start as planned, but the decision on the way in which the process would take place wasn’t final. The testing of the electronic possibilities and trainings about online education is underway.
