Oncology Clinic Case: Latest Developments

The draft-decision to form the committee of inquiry to look into the Oncology Clinic case is expected to be on the agenda of a plenary session next week.

The body will determine political accountability of Government and health officials and the chronology of events. It will also check whether there was a violation of provisions of the Constitution and laws.

VMOR-DPMNE’s Antonijo Milososki stated on Friday that the case needed to be solved as soon as possible, adding that the constitutional rights had been violated in the scandal.

Alliance for Albanians MP Ilirie Dauti stated that the accountability should be expanded to cover the period when ministers from other parties, too, had headed the Health Ministry.

According to SDSM, though the case needs to be solved as soon as possible, the matter shouldn’t be exploited to score political points.
