Orce Kamcev’s wife Testifies in Court about “Racketeering” case

The wife of businessman Orce Kamcev, Ana Kamceva provided her testimony about the events related to the “Racketeering” case at the hearing which took place on Tuesday in the Criminal Court in Skopje. Kamceva said that she had several meetings with the “Racketeering” defendants, Bojan Jovanovski and Katica Janeva, in which they discussed possibilities about how to help her husband in the “Empire” case. “On 9 November 2018 the businessman Zoran Mileski-Kiceec came to our home 30 minutes after midnight and told us that the police would search our home around 06:00 a.m. in the morning, and so it was. After that, Orce was taken to the court for interrogation about the “Empire” case. The lawyer Vasko Dimiskov asked from us between 2 and 6 million euros to have my husband out of custody, because the judge Vesna Dimiskova who processed the previous procedure about the case was his sister. After this, on 15 November Mileski called me and asked for an urgent meeting, which was also attended by Bojan Jovanovski. At the meeting, Jovanovski expressed displease with the fact that media were writing that the son of Karica Janeva is employed in his TV house 1TV. I was shocked how close Jovanovski is with Janeva and how he knew all legal procedures of prosecution. He then told me that the investigation over the “Empire” case may be broadened and may involve the sister and mother of Orce. He even told me on the phone that former UBK head will be arrested in two day, and that really happened. When they asked for the money, we were certain that they really have influence over the processes, so I immediately withdrew from the bank 350,000 euros, while the other 150,000 were to be provided by Mileski. We went to the home of Jovanovski in Orman, and he complained that the 150,000 euros from Mileski are missing. After this we had another meeting with Janeva, and Jovanovski told her that the money is paid and now it is up to her to make a move. After this was done, Orce was released from detention and sent into house arrest. I did not attend the meeting in which Orce paid them the 1.5 million euros in cash, because I feared Janeva, who in one occasion told me that if something of this is revealed to the public, she will know it was me, because she trusted the other people involved. Still, I decided to report the case to the authorities,” Kamceva said. After her testimony there was a short recess, after which the treasurer of the Kamcevi family, Mirjana Boskovska, also provided her testimony as a witness in the case. “Between December 2018 and February 2019 I withdrew great amounts of money from the bank accounts of Ana, Ratka and Hristina Kamcevi, three times 12 million denars, and twice 5 million denars. I was told to exchange the denars for euros. I never saw personally Bojan Jovanovski, but I did saw the video recordings of him counting the money,” Boskovska said. The next hearing over the “Racketeering” case, in which Jovanovski and Janeva are charged with extortion, money laundering and abuse of official position, will take place on 25 December 2019.
