Osmani and Grubi Condemn Killing of Police Officer in Kosovo

Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani has condemned the killing of the police officer in Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku.

“I strongly condemn the killing of a police officer in north of R. Kosovo. My heart goes out to his family & colleagues. Full support for justice bringing perpetrators of this heinous act to justice. Acts of violence won’t undermine Kosovo’s stability. Citizens’ safety first,” he said in a tweet on Sunday.

First Deputy PM Artan Grubi, too, condemned the killing, When it comes to the situation in Banjska, a group of citizens of North Macedonia, six adults and one juvenile, are stuck in the village. As they told Telma, they contacted North Macedonia’s Embassy in Pristina as early as the morning and were promised help, but it still hasn’t arrived, the TV station reported at around 7:20 pm on Sunday.

The Foreign Ministry said later that day that the seven citizens were in a hotel near the monastery. At the moment, Kosovan police are securing the hotel, from which they are expected to be sent home after the interview, it is pointed out.
