The European Commission, in the new Report on North Macedonia’s progress for 2022 that was presented in Brussels, notes positive progress for the country for 2022, according to the head of diplomacy, Bujar Osmani. In a post on his Facebook profile, Osmani states that the EC Report is positive and represents a clear roadmap for North Macedonia and its institutions for the further implementation of domestic reforms. “The holding of the first Intergovernmental Conference in July 2022 represents a historic moment and marks the new stage in the EU accession process. Very good progress with full alignment with the Common Foreign and Security Policy following Russian aggression against Ukraine. In the area of regional cooperation, the country maintains good bilateral relations with other countries of the region and continues to engage in regional initiatives,” Osmani points out in the Report in the section of the country’s foreign policy. The reports on the countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey were presented to the European Parliament in Brussels by the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi.
