Osmani expects Mobilisation for Positive report and Start of Negotiations

Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani said on Tuesday he expected mobilisation all resources, political, administrative and societal ones, so that the reforms needed for a positive report from the EC and start of negotiations were implemented. According to him, the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) is the brightest example of a timely and quality reform. The Deputy PM expects it to give the necessary results in the fight against corruption. Regarding the draft-law concerning the SPO, Osmani stated that he expected all parties to support it. When it comes to the issue of accountability of officials from his party, DUI, in cases of alleged nepotism, the Deputy PM said that DUI maximally supported the fight against corruption and nepotism, adding that it would wait for a SCPC decision on whether there had been influence during the employment of relatives of its officials. “The fight against corruption is unselective,” Osmani stressed.
