Osmani: Negotiations Between Skopje and Sofia Continue

Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osmani informed at a press conference that official Skopje and Sofia are maintaining communication and exchanging proposals over the unresolved bilateral disputes because of which Bulgaria blocked the start of the EU membership negotiations for Macedonia. “Numerous issues, like for example the one about revolutionist Goce Delcev, are open for discussion at the Macedonian-Bulgarian Committee on Historic Affairs, and since we have no information about what they work on now and how far they’ve come, I can suppose that the differences lie only within details which are to be agreed by this committee. Parallel with this, I am having constant conversations with official Sofia and my Bulgarian counterpart Ekaterina Zaharieva. We remain optimistic that these issues will be resolved very soon and that we will hold the first inter-governmental meeting with Brussels,” Osmani said.
