FM Bujar Osmani stated for Top Tema that he personally heard of the idea for
registration of Bulgarians in the Constitution from a high representative of VMRO-
DPMNE. “This is in fact how we reached the idea for the constitutional changes for
registration of the Bulgarians in the preamble, so I do not understand why VMRO-
DPMNE opposes this idea so much now. I am also glad that the process for
constitutional changes is going on with the favourable dynamic. We already have the
draft-initiative submitted to the government, and it is evidential in it that the changes will
in no way affect the Macedonian language or identity,” Osmani said, adding that the
expects positive outcome of the meeting between PM Dimitar Kovacevski and VMRO-
DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski on Wednesday.
