Osmani Welcomes in Skopje Latvian President Levits

Foreign Affairs Minister Bujar Osmani met in Skopje on Wednesday President of Latvia Egils Levits, who is paying an official visit to North Macedonia. As he informed via Facebook, Osmani spoke with Levits about the current geo-political events in Europe, with focus on the crisis in Ukraine. “As a Baltic country with rather sharp dioptre for the geo-political risks, Latvia remains our great supporter when it comes to the integration in the EU, pledging for sooner start of the accession talks, which are of great importance for the security situation in Europe. Our intention as a state is to be accepted in the Three Seas Initiative, currently chaired by Latvia,” Osmani wrote. Latvian President Levits is to meet President Stevo Pendarovski on Thursday.
