The Parliamentary Committee on Constitutional Affairs adopted three of the seven amendments to the constitutional changes prepared by the government. The committee adopted the amendment filed by the group of independent MPs from VMRO-DPMNE, which claims that the amendments from 33 to 36 will not come into force if Greece does not immediately fulfil its obligation for signing the Protocol for Macedonia’s accession in NATO. The amendment filed by AA MPs Zijadin Sela and Surija Rashiti for defining that Macedonia borders Kosovo was also accepted. The amendment filed by SDSM MP Muhamed Zekiri, that the citizenship classification does not determine the ethnicity of the citizens was also adopted.
