Parliament Completes Debate on Census Law, Vote to be Scheduled

Friday afternoon, after three days, Parliament ended the debate on the Draft-Law on Census of Population, Households and Dwellings in Macedonia, according to which, after 19 years, the country should perform this statistical operation. The Draft Law will be voted on at the continuation of this session, which will be additionally scheduled. Addressing before the end of the debate, Justice Minister Bojan Maricic stressed that the state and the system are ready for a census, because, as he said, such an operation has not been conducted for almost 20 years, and is extremely important for the development of the country.
