MPs did not vote in the non-confidence motion for President of Parliament, Talat Xhaferi, which was submitted by the opposition. 61 MPs voted “against” and 43 MPs voted “in favour”. During the debate, the opposition accused Xhaferi of violating the provisions of the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, of lack of capacity to conduct parliamentary sessions and of non-cooperation with opposition MPs. According to the opposition, there are more and more scandals in the work of the PS, and among the last ones they pointed out the locking of the MPs in the plenary hall and the use of indecent vocabulary in the communication with the services at Parliament. For the parliamentary majority, which has stated that it will not support the motion, this move by the opposition is an attempt to return to power as soon as possible. After the rejection, the PS said that he will continue to work in the direction of not usurping the legislature and announced that he will continue the communication with all MPs. The motion was submitted on 30 May by VMRO-DPMNE.
