Parliament Rejects Draft-Laws to Annul Przino Government and Appanage

Parliament rejected on Thursday VMRO-DPMNE’s proposal to annul the so-called Przino format of Government. There were 32 votes in favour and 55 against. Though the ruling majority had previously said it was in favour of annulment, its stand is that there should be consensus from all parties. Alliance for Albanians is against. The provisions for the functioning of the Przino format were introduced before the parliamentary elections in 2016. Thursday also saw Parliament reject the Draft-Law aiming at annulment of appanage (the money high state officials get after the end of their term which amounts to their annual income). 16 MPs were in favour, 13 were against, while there were no abstentions.
