On Wednesday, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met with Ukraine’s Ambassador Larysa Dir. There is a continuity within North Macedonia’s policy and institutions regarding assistance and help for Ukraine, Gashi assessed. “From the standpoint of humanity and solidarity, everyone facing aggression, especially a country that has for many years fostered friendship and good cooperation, needs to be given assistance and support,” the Speaker added.
Ambassador Dir expressed gratitude for North Macedonia’s assistance, adding that she expected that to continue in the future too. As she also stressed, considering the situation facing her country, support from friends, cooperation, and affirmation of the same values is needed in the frames of international organisations.
