President Stevo Pendarovski addressed the public saying that there is no need for a new state of emergency after the end of the current one, which ends 13 June. President Pendarovski also talked about the request to OSCE for the observation mission by MoFA which he predicts will be done within the day or the few following ones, however he adds that expectations need to be conservative since they should not be expected to function as previously in the conditions of the current epidemic. He also explained that the party leaders are in agreement that the OSCE/ODIHR mission can’t be expected to be the same as it was the previous years where the conditions were much easier. SDSM Leader Zoran Zaev and VMRO-DPMNE Leader Hristijan Mickoski also met on Friday under the initiative by President Pendarovski where after three-hour meeting they announced that they have not managed to reach agreement on the elections, however they are still willing to continue this process on which they will inform the public in the following days.
