PM-designate and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovacevski handed over to Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi the list of ministers included in the new governmental cabinet, as well as the governmental programme they intend to realise in the following period. Kovacevski said that the programme includes new economic goals proposed by Alternative, the new ally of SDSM in the ruling majority, as well as other new goals which are to offer mechanisms for dealing with the current situation, i.e. the energy crisis that is affecting the country. “First priority of the new government will be the energy crisis, followed by maintaining the living standards of the citizens and the companies amidst the economic crisis created by the energy crisis, and the third priority will be fulfilment of all goals concerning infrastructural projects approved with the state budget for 2022,” Kovacevski said. Xhaferi said that he will schedule a session for approval of the new cabinet on 15 or 16 January 2022.
