PM Kovacevski and Foreign Minister Osmani Continue Activities in Vilnius

At the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, PM Dimitar Kovacevski pointed out to his partners from the EU that swifter EU integration would increase the security of the Western Balkans. “We’ve reaffirmed the stand on the importance of European and Euro- Atlantic integrations to peace, security, stability, and prosperity,” he stated on Wednesday, adding that the Summit was very important to both the Alliance and the EU.

Regarding the constitutional changes, he said once the Government considered the proposal at some of its following sessions, but not later than the end of the month, it would submit it to Parliament. At a press-conference at which he talked about the decisions made at the Summit, the PM said, inter alia, a decision had been made to continue the unambiguous and strong support for Ukraine.

In the frames of his participation in the Summit, Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani held a meeting with his Greek counterpart, George Gerapetritis. The meeting focused on bilateral relations and perspective concerning enhanced sectoral cooperation of Skopje and Athens. Osmani, who’s also the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, held a meeting with Finland’s Foreign Minister, Elina Valtonen, as well.
