Instead of a longer list like that of his predecessor Zoran Zaev, the cabinet of Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski will have only 13 councillors – as he announced, without revealing their names. The Prime Minister assures that his team will be composed of professionals with many years of experience. “The number of councillors I plan to have is less than the number of previous prime ministers. These advisors will carry out work in their professional field. They all have 20 plus years of professional experience. Those that are planned I cannot announce as it is not yet official, but they are all highly qualified and highly recognized professionals for what they do,” said Kovacevski. Government sources brief that many of them will be professors from the Faculty of Economics, Macedonian professor from Great Britain, former MEPs from Germany, and among them will be director of a Macedonian bank. Zaev’s previous cabinet, according to the published list, had 54 hired advisors and senior associates, and Gruevski, on the other hand, had even more – up to 90.
