PM Dimitar Kovacevski said on Friday the Foreign Ministries of North Macedonia and Bulgaria were communicating. However, he added that they hadn’t adjusted a document that could be a basis to make decisions in the two countries. According to the PM, a solution is needed which will be accepted in both countries and for which there will be consensus because that should be a basis to build the Skopje-Sofia relations in the future both between the two sides and in the frames of the EU. On 22 May, there will not be a joint Government conference with Bulgaria because the agendas don’t allow that. A solution is possible, in Kovacevski’s view, only if it is founded on European values, on principles of keeping the dignity of the two countries citizens, and of mutual respect between politicians, institutions, and citizens. Kovacevski stated regarding VMRO-DPMNE’s actions in Parliament that despite the blockade by Mickoski’s party, the legislative home was functioning. As he added, all MPs should demonstrate responsibility because blockades harm citizens.
