PM Kovacevski Expects Screening Process to be Acknowledged in Brussels

Regarding the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers in Brussels, PM Dimitar Kovacevski said on Tuesday he expected North Macedonia’s screening process to be acknowledged.

“I hope North Macedonia will not make the past mistake, that is, waiting for 17 years for a date, not moving an inch regarding EU and NATO negotiations for years due to the hesitation or personal political calculations of one person or part of a party,” he stated.

As the PM noted, Albania, too, has completed the screening process. “I hope our country will not be left to wait again,” Kovacevski noted. The advantage of EU members, according to the PM, is that with their integration, they double the GDP, which leads to a better standard of citizens.
