PM Kovacevski Has Audience with Pope Francis

In the frames of his visit to the Vatican and Rome, on the occasion of Ss Cyril and Methodius Day, PM Dimitar Kovacevski had an audience with Pope Francis on Monday. North Macedonia and the Vatican, Kovacevski stated, are firmly connected by mutual respect founded on joint historical, cultural, and religious traditions, as well as significant figures like Ss Cyril and Methodius and Mother Teresa. As the PM added, they agreed that the care for the most vulnerable fellow citizens amidst a crisis and respecting differences were the pillars of building a society in which there would be place for everyone and that the productive cooperation with the Vatican would be deepened because the same values of mutual understanding, tolerance, and human dignity were shared by his country and the Vatican. Kovacevski expressed gratitude for the Pope’s visit to North Macedonia in 2019.
