PM Kovacevski: VMRO-DPMNE Blocking Parliament for Political Reasons

According to PM Dimitar Kovacevski, VMRO-DPMNE is blocking Parliament for political reasons, in order to secure intra-party positions. As he said on Monday, a difficult year is ahead, which is why the blockades should stop, so that the laws to improve the standards are adopted. Kovacevski’s stand is that VMRO-DPMNE is the only opposition party with an irresponsible approach. “I call again on all MPs to be up to the responsibility not before the party, but before citizens, considering Parliament should work to adopt laws that mean advancement of the standard, of keeping the standard of citizens, but also on enabling better conditions for companies in this time of crisis,” the PM stressed. The same day, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said his party’s MPs would not leave Parliament. “We will present the dynamism of activities very soon. However, everything but leaving Parliament is on the table,” the VMRO-DPMNE President said. In his view, his party’s MPs won’t leave Parliament because that would result in the ruling structure adopting a lot of laws for its own interests.
