According to PM Dimitar Kovacevski, VMRO-DPMNE is responsible for halting the EU path of North Macedonia.
“There was a VMRO-DPMNE-led government for 11 years. During that period, there was no step forward, no decision regarding NATO and EU membership. It always postponed solutions, which resulted in us having more difficult and worse ones,” he said in an interview with Kanal 5 on Friday, adding that he was primarily referring to the Prespa Agreement.
Kovacevski believes the situation is the same today. “The constitutional changes are being blocked by VMRO-DPMNE. The responsibility has a first and last name, which is “VMRO-DPMNE” and “the party’s leadership”, which is opposing the continuation of the country’s EU integration path,” the PM stressed.
