PM Zoran Zaev doesn’t expect Bulgaria to be an obstacle on Macedonia’s road to EU membership negotiations. He said on Monday that a joint solution would be found. The PM once again stated that identity issues were a right of self-determination. “Bulgaria is a European country, and I believe that in the talks themselves, in the documents itself, it is due to their efforts, ambitions, and justified wishes for the joint solution to the joint celebration of Goce Delcev to be found. I don’t expect in any way for us to have obstacles in that field because Bulgaria is definitely one of the biggest supporters of the Republic of North Macedonia when it comes to EU integrations,” Zaev added.
