Prime Minister Zoran Zaev held a bilateral meeting with his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Athens on Thursday. After the meeting, PM Zaev wrote on Facebook that Greece will open its land borders for the citizens of North Macedonia on Friday 14 May 2021. “The ramp at the Evzoni border-crossing will be lifted form tomorrow for all our citizens who can provide written confirmation for receiving two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, or a negative PCR test for COVID-19 or a test that proves the presence of anti-bodies against COVID-19. Citizens that would like to enter Greece will first have to register via the website https://travel.gov.gr,” PM Zaev wrote. At the meeting, the interlocutors recognised the progress realised so far in the process for implementation of the Prespa Agreement, with Mitsotakis voicing strong support for Skopje in the processes for opening of the accession negotiations with the EU.
