PM Zoran Zaev, answering a question asked by Kanal 5 TV in relation to the government’s activities for fighting corruption, says in a written statement that he did not intend to place responsibility for corruption solely within the state administration employees with his comments over the report of the US State Department. “Our Anti-corruption Strategy focuses on all segments of society, and includes measures that target all employees in the state administration, from the lowest to the highest levels, including directors and ministers. Measures for fighting corruption work against all people, and I would like to address a call to all state officials to be cautious, because thanks to transparency, everything is public, and corruptional activities will be severely punished,” PM Zaev states in the written statement.
