PM Zaev: Working groups for PPO law not Far from Deal

PM Zoran Zaev, who is also the leader of and SDSM, said on Friday that he would meet the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, regarding the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) law. However, he added that that would happen once the working groups signalled to both of them that there was progress. According to Zaev, there is constant communication between representatives of the working groups from the two sides. Zaev stated that the possibility of them meeting on Saturday had been announced, too. The PM considers that the groups are not far from a deal. In that regard, Zaev called for more efforts in that direction. Also on Friday, Antonio Milososki, MP from the party led by Mickoski, too, said that a meeting was possible on Saturday. However, sources from the Ministry of Justice have confirmed that a meeting will take place on 23 September, that is, on Monday.
