The Macedonian PM Zoran Zaev and the Greek PM Alexis Tsipras will be officially nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for their achievements in the resolution of the name dispute between the two countries. The official nomination, revealed at a press conference at FON University in Skopje, will be filed to the committee in Oslo by previous Nobel Peace Prize Winner Wided Bouchamaoui, who is in official visit of Macedonia along with Greek MEP Stelios Kouloglu. The nomination of Zaev and Tsipras was confirmed by Bouchamaoui, Kouloglu, and the Dean of the FON University Nano Ruzin. Later on Tuesday, Bouchamaoui held an official meeting with PM Zaev in order to inform him about the nomination. “I am very grateful for this nomination. This initiative is one of the greatest proofs that the Prespa Agreement is good for both Macedonia and Greece, and that our pledges are only for the good of the people from both countries. This initiative only gives us more courage to conclude this process with success,” Zaev said.
