On Wednesday morning, the Prosecutor’s Office (PO) filed appeals requesting the Criminal Court to change the house arrest measure for former Karpos Mayor Stevco Jakimvoski with a detention one. It considers that Jakimovski can escape or influence witnesses in the procedure. Appeals were also filed concerning the remaining two suspects, which had been issued measures of precaution. In the afternoon, Jakimovski’s party, GROM, criticised the government over the case, saying that it needed charged, blackmailed and silenced political opponents. “One isn’t guilty because they are guilty, but rather because they need to be charged,” the party said.
