In the frames of his visit to Sofia, President Stevo Pendarovski met his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev. They talked about the possibilities to further advance the political and economic relations between the two countries, as well as about the current challenges facing Europe as a result of the economic crisis. Pendarovski and Radev pledged for cooperation to be expanded in multiple areas of common interest. According to Pendarovski, the rhetoric coming from Sofia towards Skopje has been rather calmer in the last several months. Speaking about the Bulgarian elections, he is satisfied that the topic of the western neighbour is no longer among the priority ones.
